The Roosevelt is a great hotel, tends to get booked up a lot. I would suggest trying the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel. It is adjacent to the Hollywood and Highland complex ( a must see when in Los Angeles). The hotel is very trendy and has a roof top pool with the perfect view of the Hollywood sign. And now they are putting the final touches on their new spa that is going to open this march, Spa Luce. Apparently if you sign up for the mailing list at spaluce.com you get discounts and perks. So you might want to look into this hotel for your next visit, it is pretty sweet.

I live in Chicago and my bachelorette party, well weekend, was in Los Angeles. We had a great time while staying at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel (on Hollywood BLVD)! We bumped into tons of celebrities including Paris Hilton who frequents the Tropicana Bar at the Roosevelt Hotel. It's a historical site and right in the center of everything in Hollywood. We enjoyed shopping and dining in Santa Monica and also bringing out our inner child at the Santa Monica Pier. We decided to skip the guided tour and took our own tour of Beverly Hills, Bel-Air, and Santa Monica. If you are from a flat region, like the midwest, it is an amazing experience driving through the mountains. However it can be a little scary at night because the roads are unfamiliar! I would agree that there are plenty of clubs, restaurants, shops, and good looking men on Melrose Avenue. But that's known as "Boys' Town!" BEWARE (LOL)!

"Just a note to you single girls - you’ll find many attractive males in West Hollywood. However a large portion of them are interested in other guys, not girls."
