Here’s a quick recap of recent Girlaway articles:
Have you just returned from a great trip and want to share your photos with the rest of the girls? Instead of emailing these (and possibly maxing out their mailbox space), try using a free photo sharing service like Flickr.
With Flickr you can upload digital photos and choose to share them with the whole world or just your friends and/or family. Your friends can view the photos as a slide show, leave comments and order prints. You can even create a web address for your photo collection.
Most of my photos are set to be viewable only by friends and family, but I’ve made a few viewable by everyone so you can see how Flickr works.
Planning a trip to the beach or lounging at the nearest pool? Here are a few light beach reads to toss in your bag along with your sunscreen and bottled water:
The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella
Dressed to Keel: A Darcy Cavanaugh Mystery by Candy Calvert
Savannah Breeze by Mary Kay Andrews
I did (But I Wouldn’t Now) by Cara Lockwood
The Men I Didn’t Marry by Lynn Schnurnberger, Janice Kaplan
One Dangerous Lady by Jane Stanton Hitchcock
When you’re not yachting in the Caribbean or lying on the beach in San Diego, try one of these sunless-tanners. Aside from the instant results, your tan will make you look slimmer and cover imperfections.
Here is The Style Group’s top ten picks for sunless-tanners:

I rarely check bags when I fly, but when I do I’ve noticed that all luggage is starting to look exactly the same. One way to easily pick out your black bag from the rest is by adding a unique luggage tag. These neon tags fit the bill and the trio can be ordered for $15 at Uncommon Goods.com.
Kate Spade also offers a variety of leather luggage tags in pink, green and black (on sale for $26).
The Stationary Studio has customizable tags that incorporate your name and address. And of course there’s always the Tiffany’s of luggage tags, which are sold by – who else – Tiffany! The tag shown above is made of sterling silver and leather in Tiffany blue ($135).
Are you a fan of the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown? Then you may be interested in Fodor’s new travel book called, Fodor’s Guide to the Da Vinci Code: On the Trail of the Bestselling Novel. Here’s what the editors at Barnes and Noble have to say about Fodor’s new book:
Responding to the impact of Dan Brown’s mega-bestseller The Da Vinci Code, the travel gurus at Fodor’s have constructed this 256-page illustrated book to aid fans who are interested in retracing the places and events of this riveting thriller. Fodor’s Guide to The Da Vinci Code provides historical background, maps, floor plans, and travel info about relevant sites in Paris, Rome, London, and Scotland. Appropriately, there is also a travel section with Fodor’s recommendations on where to go, stay, and eat in the cities featured in the novel.
To promote their new book, Fodor’s has teamed up with Expedia to offer the “Expedia Da Vinci Code Experience” Sweepstakes which includes a trip for two to Paris for 6 days & 5 nights, the Da Vinci tour, dinner at the Eiffel Tower, a Seine River cruise, and a Loire Valley castle tour. The deadline for submitting entries is May 31, 2006.
From Vanity Fair’s Green issue:
“A solar-paneled backpack is like a PalmPilot – until you finally get one, you don’t realize how badly you needed it. Thanks to inventor and founder Shayne McQuade now you can use the simple energy of the sun to run all your complicated electronic gadgets… “It’s perfect for skiing,” says Michelle Weingeist, one of the first lucky owners of the pack. “The cold weather usually kills my walkie-talkie and iPod batteries, but now I can just hook them up while on the slopes.” And, there’s another, unexpected perk. Weingeist says, “This backpack may be for the single girl what the puppy is for the single guy. It’s a dude magnet.”
